The Neonatology Department at Kaiser Permanente Northwest provides care to newborn babies who need intensive medical attention in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). In the NICU, our team of highly trained health care professionals use state-of-the-art technology to provide specialized care for our tiniest members. Newborns who are born sick, premature or both require specialized care and our providers are specifically trained to address these needs. Neonatologists are physically in the NICU 24 hours a day, seven days a week to manage the specialized care provided to babies and support families during the difficult time.
