I came to the United States on a scholarship to Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. It happened so that I stayed in New Orleans for the next 14 years, which included Medical School (Tulane), residency, hurricane Katrina, and working in an emergency room. I joined Northwest Permanente and moved to Portland in 2007. I am married and have children.
About my practice
I care for patients who are sick enough to be hospitalized. Our group also does consultations for surgical services. Hospitalization is a trying time for patients and their families. I aim to make it as stress-free as possible and mobilize resources to prevent future readmissions.
How I thrive
My personal philosophy is best described in the words of one of my patients, who is 85 years old and is successfully running her business: "Never say I can't, say I will!"
