I grew up in Missouri and attended college and medical school there as well. I then completed my anesthesiology residency and regional anesthesia fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. I have a great husband, who is also a physician, and two wonderful children. I am so happy to be in the Pacific Northwest and have fallen in love with its beauty, the friendly community, and the abundance of outdoor activities.
About my practice
I really enjoy the practice of anesthesiology. I love listening to and connecting with patients prior to surgery, in an effort to alleviate their stress and anxiety. I chose to do a fellowship in acute pain and regional anesthesia, which allowed me to gain more expertise in peripheral nerve blocks and acute pain management. Pain management is such a critical part of anesthesia, and I am so happy to have had this training. I strive to deliver quality care in the safest manner possible.
How I thrive
Outside of work, spending time with my family and exercising are extremely important to me. Since moving to the Pacific Northwest, I have taken up gardening and have enjoyed watching my fruit trees grow. I also love to travel and hike.
