Dr. Callahan was fantastic. Answered all of our questions and did a wonderful job explaining our daughter's care plan.

Dr. Callahan is an amazing doctor and I feel VERY lucky she is taking care of my children/family! // There were times when Dr. Callahan could have mentioned something sensitive in the presence of my children, but she didn't and that was a VERY pleasant surprise re her being discrete. She is GREAT!!

The nurse was so sweet, and the doctor was nice too. Just didn't like how she made me feel when we talked about vaccines cause I don't fully believe in all of them and I felt judged.

*Dr. Callahan was very friendly and caring when I left I realized I didn't fully understand what the diagnosis was, would be helpful if doctors could be sure to tell patients their specific diagnosis.

*Dr. Callahan was an excellent provider. Listened to me, took what I said seriously. Listened to my little grandson, he was the reason we were there. Good interaction by *Dr. Callahan. She explained the illness. Provided a course of action. I felt she really cared about both of us. Thank you *Dr. C. I would recommend her to my friends & family.

Doctor carefully checked the immunization record, my history format is not well organized, it takes extra effort for her to figure out. Thanks Doctor Callahan.

I grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Loyola University, I attended medical school on a Health Professions Scholarship with the U.S. Navy. I completed my medical education in New Jersey at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Subsequently, I served as a flight doctor in Japan for two years. Following that service, I returned and completed my residency in pediatrics at Naval Medical Center San Diego. I finished my nine years of service as a general pediatrician and Head of Pediatrics at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. I am excited to continue my career as a civilian pediatrician with Kaiser Permanente.

About my practice

I have dedicated my life to the promotion of wellness in children. My previous experience providing health care for the children of our U.S. Navy sailors and Marines was tremendously rewarding, and I am happy to have the opportunity now to apply my knowledge and skills to the care of your child.

How I thrive

My family is a centering presence and focus in my life. My husband and I met in the U.S. Navy, and we now have a young daughter. We have lived and traveled all over the world. I enjoy exercise: I will run, use the treadmill or elliptical, do yoga or kickboxing — but most of all I love to swim. We strive to instill water safety in our daughter, and parent-and-child swim lessons have been some of our favorite moments. Additionally, I enjoy trying to cook. Finally, we love a good Eagles football game!
