I have worked specifically with hospitalized members since joining Northwest Permanente in Portland more than 15 years ago. I grew up in New York and completed both my medical school education and my internal medicine residency at the University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. My wife and I moved to this area to better enjoy the great outdoors. We have three children.
About my practice
I enjoy practicing Hospital Medicine. It is a privilege to care for members who are hospitalized with acute illnesses and to help them and their families navigate the stress and complexities specific to the hospital.
How I thrive
Remaining active in both mind and body is part of my daily routine. I enjoy hiking, cross-country skiing, biking, and sailing. Woodworking, reading, astronomy, and celestial navigation are among my other interests.
