I love my doctor so much and I thank her so much. [child] ALWAYS reports feeling so heard & respected & cared for by *Dr. Lum, regularly laments that she can't be her "normal" doc. Thank you for showing her what to EXPECT and advocate for her medical care! Best. [name] ([child's] Mom)

*Dr. Lum is always very attentive and thorough when we meet with her. She does an excellent job discussing the topics of our visit in a way my child and I can understand. We feel very fortunate to have *Dr. Lum for our endocrinologist.

It has been very concerning and surprising to learn that our son has an endocrine condition that will affect him the rest of his life. I am so grateful to have *Dr. Lum as our endocrinologist. She has educated us and reassured us while offering emotional support to us too. We are very grateful for her!

I graduated from UCLA School of Medicine, completed my Pediatrics training at New England Medical Center in Boston, MA, and my Pediatric Endocrinology training at Stanford. I have practiced Pediatric Endocrinology for many years. While my education and career opportunities have taken me and my family many places, we consider the Pacific Northwest our home. I have had the good fortune to work with many excellent Pediatric colleagues while in Portland. The most rewarding part of my job has been my interactions and relationships with wonderful members and their families.

About my practice

In my Pediatric Endocrinology clinic, I care for children with hormone concerns. I work with a caring nurse and staff and together we address the concerns of the patient and family. We also work closely with each child's pediatrician to provide comprehensive care, and to ensure that the child's endocrine concern is compassionately and appropriately addressed.

How I thrive

Outside of work, I most enjoy spending time with my family, my husband, and our two sons. Whether we are traveling or just relaxing, our sons provide us with a source of fun, inspiration, and amazement. I enjoy walking our dog, which helps me maintain my daily exercise, and spending time with friends. Reading is a favorite past time, and quoting from one of my favorite books, The Phantom Tollbooth, Norton Juster, "so many things are possible just as long as you don't know they're impossible."
