I was born in Pennsylvania, did my undergraduate training at the Colorado College, and returned to Pennsylvania to complete my medical training. I realized then I needed to return to the West and chose Portland, Oregon due to the friendliness of the people, and the access to surrounding wilderness. I spent over seven years in private practice, but was drawn to Kaiser Permanente and its philosophy of patient care. My background and interest is in sports medicine (I am a fellowship-trained musculoskeletal and orthopedic radiologist), and in my personal life I continue to train in various sports (as do my wife and two daughters).
About my practice
As a general diagnostic radiologist and subspecialty musculoskeletal radiologist (and as section Chiefs for both MSK and MRI imaging), I strive to provide the highest level, and most appropriate, imaging to facilitate integrated patient care.
How I thrive
A careful balance between work, play, and family life allow me to thrive at Kaiser Permanente. Play includes multiple sports (martial arts, power lifting, Crossfit) and outdoor sports. Fly-fishing is my number one passion when it comes to the outdoors.
