I was born and raised in the Philippines to Chinese parents. I completed my medical education there and moved to New Jersey for residency training in internal medicine. I started my work as a primary care physician in 2004 and transitioned into hospital medicine about 10 years ago. I am married with children.
About my practice
As a hospitalist, I evaluate and diagnose or rule out a condition and--alongside a team of specialists and ancillary staff--manage hospitalized members' care. I approach this obligation with utmost respect. My passion is ensuring patient safety. Having been a primary care doctor, I consider continuity of care to be crucial. I find time to explain diagnostics and treatment carefully, ultimately giving power to each member to make educated decisions, weighing risks and benefits fully. Care in the hospital focuses on addressing acute issues; further, however, I recognize the importance of spending time discussing prevention. My goal is to make or keep you healthy.
How I thrive
Swimming, hiking, and skiing are meditative to me. Finding meaning in my work allows me to live well. I center my life on my loving spouse and family. In turn they keep me humble.
