I am from a small town in southern Minnesota, and attended college and medical school in Minnesota. I chose medicine after one of my professors suggested medical school so I took up the challenge and have loved my choice of career. I find clinical medicine rewarding and challenging. I enjoy helping people, and am so glad that I joined the Kaiser Permanente family. Kaiser Permanente has allowed me to practice medicine in a supportive environment and all my colleagues are exceptional people.
About my practice
My professional philosophy is to educate and empower my patients while providing the best care possible, and I want them to feel that their concerns are heard and addressed. I enjoy the fast pace of the emergency room, and focus on completing each encounter as quickly and as thoroughly as possible. I also have an interest in sports medicine.
How I thrive
I thrive by loving my wife and our dog, and enjoy time with friends and family whenever possible. I try to exercise daily, and given that our dog needs to run every day, it works out well for both of us. We enjoy hiking, the mountains, the coast, the Columbia Gorge, and wine country. There is so much to do and see in our new state of Oregon.
