I was born in Minnesota, where I completed my undergraduate education. I lived in Colorado and then in Vermont, while I attended Dartmouth Medical School. I returned to Minnesota for my residency training and first several years as an emergency medicine physician. The connections I've made with patients consistently affirm my decision to study medicine. I love how the emergency room always surprises me and allows me to learn about -- and from -- my patients.
About my practice
The emergency medicine team collaborates and leverages each member's strengths to provide the best health care to our patients. I feel that it is critical to practice evidence-based emergency medicine that emphasizes improving every patient's overall well-being. Practicing in an organization that shares this goal is both exciting and fulfilling. At the end of the day, patient comfort and strong personal connections take priority in my practice.
How I thrive
My wife, three children, and our numerous pets enjoy life in the Pacific Northwest and are happy to have made it our home. We find fulfillment exploring the beaches, forests, rivers, and mountains. I was a collegiate wrestler and enjoy almost every sport, as well as cooking for my family and fostering my children's interests in music, sports, and Battle Chess!
