I grew up near a provincial hospital in China, and exposure to vulnerable populations in my early years motivated me to pursue a career in health care. I chose to practice internal medicine because of its patient populations and the pathophysiology of mundane and rare diseases.
About my practice
I wanted to practice inpatient medicine since my first year of medical school, because it provides me with opportunities to work within a multidisciplinary team to take care of some of the most vulnerable patients. I chose to practice inpatient hospital medicine following completion of my internal medicine residency training.
How I thrive
I have been a fan of the Food Network since my teenage years. I have enjoyed strength training and trail running since college.
