I was born and grew up in San Francisco, California and attended University of California, Berkeley for my undergraduate degree. I worked in the biotechnology field and traveled for several years after college prior to completing medical school in New York and residency in Houston, Texas. Following residency, I returned to the Bay Area for 12 years prior to moving to Portland, Oregon, practicing at a Kaiser Permanente hospital and starting my family. We decided to relocate to the Pacific Northwest for a quieter, less congested environment, more rain, and more outdoor opportunities.
About my practice
I practice as a hospitalist, an internal medicine physician who specializes in the care of the hospitalized patient, and love the work! It is dynamic, exciting, and complex, and the inpatient setting allows for a close working relationship with the nursing staff, patient, and families.
How I thrive
I enjoy reading and hiking with my kids. In the winter we enjoy the snow and skiing on Mount Hood and in the summer we love going to the coast. I like to cook and go out to restaurants, and love the exciting food scene in Portland. I hope to start growing my own vegetables and dream of adding chickens to the family.
