I am originally from Wroclaw, Poland, but I have lived in the United States since 1992 and spent the majority of my life in Tucson, Arizona. Raised by two foreign scientists, I was naturally attracted to the study of biology and to languages, and at the University of Arizona, I received degrees in molecular and cellular biology as well as Spanish. After working in a research lab, I found my passion for medicine and went on to graduate from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. I completed medical training in family medicine at the University of California, San Diego. I started working in the Urgent Care Department with Southern California Permanente Medical Group and found this clinical setting to be the most rewarding focus for myself and the care I provide to patients. I met my amazing wife in Southern California, and we decided to move to the beautiful Pacific Northwest to start a new life here together.
About my practice
I enjoy working at the front lines of primary care. This setting presents me with the opportunity to offer healing interventions and provide preventive care for my patients. My interests include integrative medicine and sports medicine, which are valuable resources in the urgent care setting. I strive to provide compassionate care, and I am a strong believer in the philosophy of providing patients with the most current and accurate information to help guide them in making their own medical decisions to achieve mutually rewarding outcomes.
How I thrive
Pura vida. I learned this Costa Rican phrase while working at local primary care clinics in Central America. The words literally translate to “pure life,” yet the connotation is understood as "living life to the fullest.” I have adopted this as the mantra of my practice and work-life balance. My specific interests and hobbies are always changing, and I enjoy pursuing new experiences. A few of the long-term themes have been playing soccer, exploring our natural wonderland, music, and cooking.
