About Reviews

No comments available. ?

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, I moved to the Pacific Northwest with my husband, our dog, our cat, and our bicycles. I enjoy leadership and public health, and I have a passion for international medicine. I have traveled to Guatemala, Peru, Russia, and Malawi as a physician, and throughout my career I hope to continue my medical travels. Outside of work, I am a travel junkie, foodie, yogi, and overall outdoor enthusiast.

About my practice

I work in the Department of Emergency Medicine. I enjoy emergency medicine for its unique day-to-day challenges and spontaneity. I never know what I will encounter when I walk through the doors at the beginning of a shift. I find the challenge of the unknown very exciting. My favorite part about emergency medicine is being able to make a big difference in the lives of those who need it most! Morning, noon, or night, weekends and holidays — emergency physicians are always there to help!

How I thrive

Every day, I remind myself “it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon.” This mantra helps guide me to create long-term balance in my busy life. Staying physically active through various sports, such as biking, hiking, yoga, and rock climbing help me maintain not only a healthy body but a healthy mind as well. I enjoy cooking at home with my husband, to unwind after a long day. My ultimate key to success, however, is always to be willing to try something new. Whether it’s an activity, a new food, a new skill, or a new approach to thinking about an idea, keeping an open mind allows my attitude toward life to remain flexible in the face of change.
