I was born and raised in Massachusetts, and grew up interested in both science and sports. I initially considered a career in research, but during medical school found I was more interested in working directly with patients. It was also at this time that I was drawn to psychiatry in particular and chose this as my specialty. I moved across the country to Oregon with my family for residency, and we are now happily settled in the Portland area.
About my practice
I am one of the outpatient providers in the Mental Health clinic. I enjoy working with adults of all ages, but have a particular interest in working with senior adults and their families.
How I thrive
When I am not at work, I make sure to set aside time to spend with my family and enjoy their company. I also enjoy cooking, and am lucky to have a wife who raises a wonderful garden to provide fresh produce. I continue to follow sports, and remain a devoted baseball fan despite having moved so far away from my favorite team.
