I am from Oregon, and have spent time at our family ranch in the Baker Valley. My primary board certification is in Occupational Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania, and I am also board recertified in Internal Medicine. I have practiced Occupational Medicine for 15 years after doing Internal Medicine for three years, and have obtained a Master's of Public Health (MPH) from the Medical College of Wisconsin. I am a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
About my practice
My focus is on work illness and injury prevention, and restoring function when an event occurs. We know from the literature that symptoms are reduced with maintaining as much function as possible, while we carefully prescribe limitations that will ensure the body to heal. Medications are not usually required for many of our patients, and the mind and body need to return to work and usual routines for the best chance at restoration of health.
How I thrive
I enjoy time with my family, pets, skiing, and activates at the ranch. Two of my children now attend college, and the last is active in sports. A good fast walk in a natural setting can do wonders for energizing the batteries and remembering what is important in life.
