I am a native Oregonian. I grew up in Medford and then attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara for my undergraduate degree. The medical school I attended was Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. I did my residency in family medicine with the Navy in Pensacola, Florida. During my time with the Navy, I was stationed on an aircraft carrier and also deployed with the Army to Afghanistan. After seven years with the Navy, I moved back to Oregon, where I've worked with Kaiser Permanente since.
About my practice
I am a family medicine physician, which means I take care of people from childhood through the full spectrum of ages. I prefer to prevent disease rather than treat it after it occurs. I view my role as helping people understand what's going on with them and assisting them in making lifestyle changes to help themselves.
How I thrive
I try to stay active in my off time. I enjoy the many outdoor sports of the Northwest. I am a big ski, kayak, and bicycle enthusiast. I also enjoy spending time with my family.
