I grew up in the city of Hyderabad in southern India and moved to the United States after my undergraduate education. In order to make a strong impact from a public-health perspective and to master the skills I would need to offer both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, I completed a master's degree in public health and an internal medicine residency, then pursued fellowship training in gastroenterology. After practicing gastroenterology in Florida for almost five years, I joined Kaiser Permanente.
About my practice
I work and learn alongside a great team of physician colleagues and staff. My practice involves all aspects of general gastroenterology, including biliary endoscopic procedures, and I am very particular about patient safety and quality in endoscopy. I am able to convey clinical and endoscopic results to members in plain and simple terms, and I strive to guide members' decision-making with their best interests in mind.
How I thrive
My two daughters keep me very busy at home, and I enjoy spending my free time with friends and family. I like to stay active by playing as much tennis as I can.
