About Reviews

No comments available. ?

I have always enjoyed traveling. I grew up between the East Coast and Oregon, and by the end of high school I had lived in several other states as well. I majored in literature and minored in Spanish and biology at Pacific University, in Forest Grove, Oregon, and then went on to get my master’s in biology in Long Island, New York. I completed my medical training at St. George's University, in Grenada, and then traveled to the Midwest for my residency training in internal medicine/psychiatry. Travel has given me invaluable experiences and has helped foster my love and understanding of people, cultures, and places. I have always been fascinated with the study of medicine and consider it an honor and pleasure to work in this field.

About my practice

My clinical work at Kaiser Permanente is in mental health — seeing members in the clinic. I have always believed in approaching patients as whole people rather than focusing on one system or illness. My training in a combined internal medicine and psychiatry residency program reinforced the importance of the mind/body connection, as well as the interplay of processes such as diabetes and depression or anxiety and heart disease. I enjoy working with a well-rounded team of experts including physicians, therapists, and nurses who can help emphasize the importance of both mental and physical health.

How I thrive

I love spending time with friends and family, traveling, and being outdoors. I hope to continue working on both my Spanish language and cooking skills, and I would love to participate in the Hood to Coast Relay someday.
