I am originally from Madison, Wisconsin and moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1998 to complete my surgical residency at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). I fell in love with the area and all the Pacific Northwest has to offer. I have now made Portland my home.
About my practice
In my practice I believe communication is essential to all successful relationships. I strive to make sure my patients are very well informed about their diagnoses and any procedures they may require. We have an excellent staff in our clinic who are very caring and responsive. I have special interest in endocrine surgery, specifically thyroid, parathyroid, and pancreas surgery. I find general surgery a very rewarding profession and I consider it a privilege to help people get well.
How I thrive
I thrive by staying active - both in mind and body. I exercise 4-5 times per week through running, swimming, or weight lifting. I am thankful that I have a wonderful family and supportive friends. I also have two dogs who are great companions.
