I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have lived throughout the United States and am pleased to call beautiful Oregon home. My medical training started at Wake Forest Medical School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and I completed residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Prior to my medical training, I worked as a biologist for eight years, working on salmon and water quality projects in the Northwest.
About my practice
I chose emergency medicine as a specialty because I enjoy variety. Every day is different with new and interesting challenges. I am very pleased to be working at Kaiser Permanente. It is a pleasure to have the support of our specialty services within a strong network of primary care providers. I enjoy knowing the patients I see in the Emergency Department will have close follow up, be it for a broken bone, heart condition, or other medical illness.
How I thrive
I enjoy getting outside with my husband and two boys. We are an active family that enjoys hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and fishing. If it's raining, then my indoor hobby is sewing.
