*Dr. M.-S. is great at listening. I feel confident that he is up to date w/literature and meds. for ADHD and can recommend based on this knowledge. He is excellent at listening to my young son and giving him the chance to talk about his experiences.

I felt like *Dr. Myer-Strom took the time to listen to my thoughts and concerns about my daughter. I didn't feel rushed or discounted. I really appreciate that he talks to me on a person level and didn't use _____ dr. terms that were over my head. Overall, fantastic dr!

I grew up in the Portland, Oregon area and moved to Kansas for my psychiatric residency and child/adolescent fellowship. Kansas was fine, the training was great, but I really appreciated Oregon when I returned.

About my practice

People usually don't relish taking their kids to a child/adolescent psychiatrist. I try to respect folks' anxieties and life experiences, and help them understand their options in making their kids' lives better. I really appreciate the teamwork we have here at Kaiser Permanente, and the fact that caring for patients is the major motivation for doctors here.

How I thrive

I enjoy biking, urban and wilderness hiking, and reading. Playing word games helps keep me sane. And eating my wife's wonderful vegetarian culinary creations helps me stay happy and healthy.
