I was born in Ohio and attended the University of Akron and Northeast Ohio Medical University. I completed my emergency medicine residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, where I became a passionate Michigan Wolverine fan. Yes, I am from the Buckeye State, but it's a good story, so feel free to ask! I have worked in many different emergency department settings, from urban to suburban areas in Boston, Massachusetts; Detroit; and Ann Arbor, Michigan before landing in Portland, Oregon. Emergency medicine is the perfect field for me because I like being useful in all types of situations, every day is different, I can help just about anyone, and I can take it with me anywhere in the world.
About my practice
Innovation and creative ways of coordinating care is at the heart of my practice. I like bringing each member's perspective into decision making and connecting patients with the right resources in our system. Kaiser Permanente is a wonderful place to work as a physician because it creates a unique environment that brings providers together for the best care!
How I thrive
I love painting and drawing landscapes from areas that I have biked or hiked in. I enjoy the great recreational and food options in this wonderful state.
