I grew up in Northern Nevada, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Skiing, biking, and swimming formed the backbone of my formative years. College took me to Southern California, where I initially pursued a career in journalism prior to transitioning to medicine. I moved to Oregon in 2008 and attended medical school at Oregon Health & Science University from 2011 to 2015. After a three-year stint back in Southern California for my emergency medicine residency, I feel incredibly lucky to be back in Portland after landing my dream job here with Kaiser Permanente.
About my practice
It's an honor to work in the emergency department. Every day, I have an opportunity to help patients navigate stressful and scary experiences in their lives.
How I thrive
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife, daughter, and geriatric bulldog. I love running, barbecuing, and eating my way through Portland's awesome restaurants.
