I knew from a very young age that I wanted to become a physician after seeing my grandmother pass away from heart attack. I went to medical school in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma). Soon after graduating, I moved to the United States, and finished my residency program at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. I now live in Portland, Oregon with my lovely husband. We both enjoy nature and outdoor activities, such as hiking, cycling, and tennis.
About my practice
I enjoy talking to patients, listening closely to their health problems. I always make them feel comfortable talking about their health issues. I like to help patients live a healthy lifestyle and believe providing quality care to my patients requires patience, listening, as well as diagnostic techniques and therapeutic regimens. I also believe in evidence-based medicine so I do not advocate unproven alternative treatments. I treat every patient like my own family members.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in life is very important to me. When I am off work, I enjoy gardening and cooking. I like to stay fit by exercising regularly, swimming is my first choice. I like to listen to music and read books.
