I have been in Portland since attending residency at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). I have always wanted to be a doctor, and working at Kaiser Permanente has given me the opportunity to help so many more patients than that ones I see in the Emergency Department. I have had a variety of administrative roles within the organization which have complemented and improved my medical practice. I have been blessed with a wonderful family and two currently high school teenagers.
About my practice
My patient care practice occurs at the Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center (KSMC) Emergency Department and the Regional Telephonic Medical Center (RTMC). I enjoy the opportunity to help patients by a variety of ways through the RTMC. The personal interaction over the phone of directing care that meets the patient's needs is very satisfying. I appreciate that the care delivered to our patients can be done by a variety of methods and not just face to face encounters.
How I thrive
It is important to stay physically and mentally active. My wife and I enjoy running and going for hikes two or three days per week and I try to hit the links as much as possible. The key for my happiness is the gift of travel. I get revitalized whenever I am able to visit a new place.
